Greetings from Camp NaNo!

 Hi!  

So, this month I am participating in Camp NaNoWriMo (the spring/summer version of the regular November NaNoWriMo-National Novel Writing Month  http://campnanowrimo.org/   ).   I am mainly writing (original) short stories; though I do want to do at least one fic if I can this month. My goal is 5K words by the end of April and as of last night I'm at 2, 992.   

(Also, myself and a tumblr friend are having fun with a DW AU idea she came up with----what if the companions' backstories were swapped? :P )

Thank you! Actually, as of today (10 April 9;21 PM here as I type this), I beat my goal of 5K----total is 5129. But I'm going to keep going!!!

We've thought of some others such as Ace and Mel (and we both agree we'd LOVE to see perky Mel wielding Nitro and a baseball bat) and Nyssa and Tegan. Also I thought of Liz and Jo.

Space Princess Tegan would be wonderful, although I don't know what kind of Space Princess she'd be. (Still arguing, of course!) Poor Nyssa, though, I fear she'd be a down-trodden air stewardess, probably studying chemistry in between flights to desperately get out of there. (And, aha, yes, you've got me doing it now!!)

Fun as Mel blowing stuff up is, it's hard to imagine Ace without any hitro to hand. You can't help but feel she'd be wasted as a computer genius.

There was once a cliche swap ficathon ages ago on LJ where cliches for one character/era got applied to the others and that was pretty cool. (I think Romana got Jack's living through the 20th C and sorting out Torchwood, but they were all good.)
