 This is what happens when I cannot get to sleep...   I’ve seen a lot of AUs set in high school, boarding school, college / university, and the like. Maybe it’s just cause I love the De-age trope but... has anyone done any fic where the AU is middle school/ junior high or younger ( Pre-K / preschool , elementary school)?  I am curious.

Um... yes. And yes.

(Both stories are part of the Look Who's Talking daycare centre AU, but they're less meta and more standalone than some of the others in that series).

Doesn't TTR have a middle/primary school too? I see, to remember that it did, even if it didn't get written as much.

And given that TDTO is set in a British sixth form system, the youngest years are US middle school age, so I suppose my ancient First Year Camp and Ghosthunting would do.

I should hunt up First Year Camp, really and see about putting it up on AO3. I was always a bit wary of putting TTR stuff there, because it's so random, but OTOH, I was always fond of that one.

There is a primary school (Newman Primary) but I don't think anyone ever set a story there.

And you should upload all the TTR fic you can — the more there is, the less lonely mine will look :-)

A bit more Googling suggests you're right; there's Imran's Skool Daze, which establishes the premise, and daibhidc did a couple of shorts.

That matches up to my vague memories, yes. Sometimes I remember things properly! Amazing!
