 1.   I'm currently in Myrtle Beach (SC).   Staying in  my aunt's house,  she is on a trip to Australia so we're house sitting.  And it is WAY too hot here !!  :/

2.   Went to BAM !  (Books a Million ) yesterday and had to ... actually stop myself from buying about 10 books and a POP! figure of Elsa from Frozen.   I settled on 5 books all from this series I've been looking forward to.  :  https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/a-twisted-tale
Thanks to shivver  I've been inspired to read Pride and Prejudice recently... which unfortunately was one I put back. 

3.   I've discovered two new comms thanks to thisbluespirit that are both OUAT on here!! One actually informed me about a deleted scene that I now wish was left in.  

4.  Beignets.   I tried some today for the first time and actually got a takeout order of them.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beignet   Basically they taste like little donuts or funnelcake.  :) 

5.  Writing has been... interesting? lately.   I'm currently in an online class on Advanced Fiction Writing.  With the same teacher I had in my last class (Write Fiction Like a pro).   And the last time he used the Wizard of Oz as an example.  This class? Beauty and the Beast.  And given my current interests,  ... I'm starting to wonder if he's just trying to tease me/ get me to unintentionally squee!  I did do a Drabble a few days ago and am about to start on my gift for Just Married.  (DW,  not sure if it's going to be 10/Donna or 11/River) 

6.  If anyone is following Big Finish's Once and Future,  the third release just came out: A Genius for War.  And as of now I haven't listened to it/

I think your writing teacher might just have great taste in stories! :D You never know, he might be a fan.

Have you learnt anything interesting from the class? That sounds like a really cool class to take.

I haven’t been listening to Once and Future, and I don’t generally like how BF does big splashy ‘event’ releases all that much, but I have to admit the concept is really tempting me…

I don't think 'Pride and Prejudice' will go out of print anytime soon so maybe next time?

We listened to A Genius for War and loved it! It's full of Davros-deviousness and Doctor-deviousness, and Nicholas Briggs shouting orders at himself. This audio focused on the story - what is Davros doing (because you know he's got an ulterior motive) and more importantly, why? I think that the previous two Once and Future failed because they were more about the Doctor interacting with the guest companions and the stories were incidental. As thisbluespirit implied, they were too fanservicey, while this one felt more like a special Monthly Range.
