A little update.

1.  Hope everyone had a good Christmas! We celebrate normally on Christmas Eve.  I got among other things: three new books (one DW, a Disney one called When You Wish Upon a Star, and something new called School For Extraterrestrial Girls).   Also, authentic candy from the UK and Switzerland.  I haven't tried the latter yet,  but I gotta ask: People in the UK, why is your chocolate so good??? 

Reading: A Christmas Carol- the actual novel.  I'm pretty sure I've read it before for school but wanted to read it again,  Reading next I;m not really sure.  

Listening: Welcome to Our Village Please Invade Carefully.  Thanks to lurking_latinist and thisbluespirit.  This series is amazing and hilarious! 


Watching:  Call the Midwife (with second mom,  we're up to series 3 or 4 I think ).  This is wonderful and one of the most pure shows I've ever seen.  You will probably cry theough.  Also, Jane Eyre: the 2000s version.  I know shivver and thisbluespirit have seen me squee about this adaptation but so far it's enjoyable.  The characters are great and I really want to see where this goes.  As for DW, I haven't seen the Christmas episode yet but for the 60th specials...

The Star Beast was good but I have questions. 
Wild Blue Yonder was awesome
Same with The Giggle (and I won't ruin the ending, but if you don't know about it by now... :grin: )

Call the Midwife is such a good show. I saw the latest Christmas special on Monday and went through so many different emotions.

We haven't watched it in a couple weeks, but it's great so far. We're up to the episodes with Patsy I think.

Who is your favorite? In this house, we love Camilla (Chummy) and her husband and little son. Also Jenny and Sister Bernadette (I can't spell her real name )

I liked Chummy and her family. And Sister Evangelina and Sister Monica Joan. Also Sister Bernadette (who has a great story).

We're about to start Series 13 in January, so you won't have encountered many of my current favourite characters yet.

Huh. Might have to check that.

But I really do like Cadbury ( here you can get it from Amazon). And I got a carton of it called Heroes for Christmas. I’ve had a couple pieces and it’s good.
